A chronological series of galleries presents treasures from the history of Chinese art. Thematic galleries showcase various topics such as Tibetan painting, jade, furniture-making, and traditional domestic interiors. In addition, a reading room is furnished with museum quality late nineteenth century furniture produced in Hong Kong demonstrating cross-cultural influences in furnishings that synthesize western and eastern decorative motifs. The gallery design and graphics were inspired by traditional motifs in Chinese architecture and the visual arts, presented in a contemporary manner.
