Royal Ontario Museum: Sir Christopher Ondaatje South Asian Gallery

The first permanent gallery in Canada devoted to the complex cultures of South Asia, the gallery conveys personal, contemporary, and historical meaning through a range of media components. By mixing scholarly interpretation with personal perspectives, visitors interact with the gallery experientially as well as cognitively. A symbolic Tree of Life formulated as a canopy of numerous small video monitors plays a multiplicity of images across screens in a presentation orchestrated with music and sound.
