Smithsonian Institution: Korea – 5000 Years of History and Culture

This diminutive and remarkable gallery expresses the continuity of Korean culture by highlighting enduring traditions that have influence and resonance today. The gallery comprises traditional art forms such as ceramics, calligraphy, mythological figures, language and writing, large feature photographs and illustrations. The design speaks to a range of shared historical memories that connect Koreans at home and abroad.
