Toronto Zoo: Panda Interpretive Centre

Reich+Petch worked with Toronto Zoo to deliver the Panda Interpretive Centre, a five-year blockbuster that will educate visitors about Giant Pandas and this important conservation loan from China. The 8,000 sf environment was carefully themed to suit this extraordinary subject and to enhance the Zoo’s mission, to inspire people to love, respect and protect wildlife and wild spaces. A bold, modern aesthetic; Chinese-inspired imagery; immersive graphics; and entertaining multimedia interactives help deliver this fascinating story. This project has been awarded a 2013 HOW International Design Award of Merit. To date, over one million visitors have experienced the Panda Interpretive Centre.
