Smithsonian Institution: Butterflies + Plants: Partners in Evolution

A conservatory Pavilion is the centerpiece of this gallery, welcoming visitors to walk amongst living butterflies. The gallery is organized into two parts: the enclosed Pavilion with live butterflies, and the surrounding displays that describe evolutionary relationships that have developed between butterflies and plants. The exhibits surrounding the pavilion explain the concepts of co-evolution, and facilitate crowd control for this very popular destination.
