The Bug House at World Museum Liverpool is part of a suite of life sciences galleries. In a non-traditional approach, the exhibit was developed using stage-set–like environments, lighting projections, animatronics models, live insects and audio-visual aids to create an immersive experience where visitors can begin to comprehend the incredible diversity and complexity of insect life. In one of the exhibits, animatronics enable a large suspended spider to drop suddenly from the ceiling exciting and shocking visitors.
