This state-of-the-art day centre is designed to serve adults with developmental disabilities. It accommodates activities that promote social and emotional growth, health, and physical wellbeing as well as providing opportunities for skills training. By expressing the building as an assembly of smaller pavilions, exterior massing and scale are related to adjacent single-family homes while the interior is organized with internal ‘streets’ and a ‘square’ between pavilions.
