Science North: Wild Weather

Fly through the eye of a hurricane, create a mini tornado, and dance up a storm as the weather around you responds to your movements. Severe weather is powerful and unpredictable, and this travelling exhibit lets you experience it up close. Follow scientists as they chase tornadoes with their specialized instruments while others simulate storms in a lab. Have fun as you discover what causes severe weather events, and how our changing climate will affect the weather we experience. This project is a unique partnership between Reich+Petch, Science North and the Ontario Science Center (OSC), with a large number of exhibits fabricated by OSC. Winner of the Canadian Association for Science Centres’ 2017 CASCADE Award for "Best Exhibition or Show – Large Institution".
